Was just wondering when you put money on full tilt, what limit did you start at and did you play tighter to build up your bankroll. Good luck at the main event .

When I started with full tilt, my bankroll was already around 22k from Party Poker. I put 5k on full tilt, and played 3/6 and 5/10 two tabling. I have never been a tight player, and if I lost alot, I’d drop down in limits. I only played in games I thought I could beat with my style, instead of changing my style to the games I was playing.

Irock man, you said you left 1500 in your bankroll to start after you won that tourney….Dude can you tell me if you ever lost that? Did you have to redeposit money??? I mean i put money in like lets say 200…. i bring it up to 1900 (At the 1/2) like 2 nights ago and then i lose it all cause i start running REAL bad…. getting sucked out… all that…. Is this normal? Do you experience suck outs & Bad beats? I don’t know what i’m doing wrong… i can make money but i can lose it much quicker…..

Bankroll Management is a key factor in playing. I wasn’t playing 1/2 with 1500. I was still playing 10 or 20 dollar sngs. I used that as a base to slowly move up from .5/1 nl but it wasn’t overnight. It took a few months to get a solid base. Don’t put so much pressure on yourself to move up. Bad players will always be around but your bankroll might not.

Hey iRock,

I think it’s hard to underestimate the importance of a kick ass screename, and not only did I laugh out loud when I first saw yours, I also thought it was “badass”. So I was just wondering how you came up with it? Is there a great story there? Anyway, I occassionally watch you on FullTilt, where I play 1/2NL and go by MagikKid. I am also PureSmack on 2+2. Anyway, I hope you do well at the Series, and best of luck against JJ and the crew.

Download the song “ether” by nas. It starts off by saying “f*** jay-z” there is really no more badass song. In the song, Nas has a line, “I rock hoes, yall rock fellas” making fun of jay-z’s record label “rockafella”. The line is sweet so I chose this name.
